Mark R. Davidson, A.A.E. operates Airport Business Solutions’ Jacksonville, Florida office and offers a wide array of experience and exposure to different types of airports ranging from recreational GA to medium hub commercial service and resort airports. In addition, Mark brings the experience of serving in positions responsible for numerous airport functions and departments.
Prior to joining Airport Business Solutions, Mark was the Director of Aviation at Eagle County Regional Airport in Vail, Colorado. Eagle is a non-hub commercial-service airport that is served by six major airlines and numerous general aviation operators in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Subsequent to his time with Eagle County, Mark was part of the management team at the Jacksonville Airport Authority (JAA) in Jacksonville, Florida. During his long career with the JAA, Mark served as the Airport Manager of Cecil Field. Cecil Field is a general aviation reliever airport that was transferred from the United States Navy in 1999. While serving as Manager, Mark’s primary goal and responsibility was to convert the surplus property into revenue producing assets and obtaining Military Airport Program (MAP) funds to improve infrastructure. In addition, during his tenure with the JAA, Mark served as the Airport Manager of Herlong Airport, a corporate and recreational airport within the Jacksonville system of airports that won the Florida Department of Transportation’s General Aviation Airport of the Year Award. Mark was responsible for managing the Airport, as well as operating the Airport's award-winning FBO. While working at Jacksonville International Airport, Mark gained significant experience in a number of departments including Operations, Properties, Finance, and Public Safety.
Mark is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and an active member of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Florida and is an adjunct instructor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Jacksonville University.
